Marmion Farm Elm Beam
Ravenoville, France – c.1787 barnThis elm beam stood in the Marmion Farm barn, a key D-Day rally point for the 101st and 82nd Airborne Divisions who parachuted into Normandy on the night of June 5–6, 1944. The barn is visible in famous combat photographs taken just inland from Utah Beach. Salvaged with care in 2025, this beam honors the paratroopers who trained at Camp Toccoa, parachuted into Normandy, and fought to liberate Europe.
